SW 99– Jurisprudencia Deliberativa e Inteligencia Artificial: Precedentes y IA Pública – Deliberative Jurisprudence and Artificial Intelligence: Precedents and Public AI

Convenors: Migle Laukyte; Lorena Ramirez; Clara Velasco

Contact: migle.laukyte@upf.edu

This workshop brings together legal scholars, philosophers of law, Artificial Intelligence  (AI) researchers, and public policy makers to examine a critical juncture in contemporary legal thought: the ways in which AI systems are transforming the production, interpretation, and application of law, and the requirements imposed by deliberative jurisprudence for such a transformation to be legitimate. The meeting focuses its discussion on three interconnected phenomena of particular urgency: the impact of AI on the doctrine of precedent, the expansion of AI in the public sector, and the need to promote public AI as a counterweight to privately developed AI.
