About The Workshop
SW 92-The 25th Anniversary of Publication of Zenon Bankowski’s Living Lawfully
Convenor: Claudio Michelon
Contact: c.michelon@ed.ac.uk
This workshop aims both at commemorating the 25th anniversary of publication of Zenon Bankowski’s seminal Living Lawfully and at taking stock of its influence since publication. The book’s original approach to the relationship between law, legal argumentation, and narratives (such as parables) influenced deeply the work of many a contemporary legal philosopher, across different countries and traditions. In the workshop, the discussion will centre around the book’s highly original take on theorizing about law and legal reasoning and on the book’s continual relevance in the field.
Speakers include Fernando Atria, Psarras Haris, Claudio Michelon, Leonor Moral, Oche Onazi, Francisco Saffie, and Gulriz Uygur, (among others) with a final comment by Zenon Bankowski.
