Marek Zirk-Sadowski - professor of law. He was a student of prof. J. Wróblewski. From 1990, he headed the Department of Theory and Philosophy of Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Lodz. He was twice the Dean of the Faculty and Vice-Rector of the University of Lodz. He served on governing body as the Vice-President (1999 – 2011) and as the acting President (2006-2007) of the International Association for the Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy (IVR). He has been a judge of the Supreme Administrative Court since 1994. In the years 2016 to 2022 he was the President of this Court. He has published over 200 scientific works in the field of theory and philosophy of law.
