Imer B. Flores is a Full-Time Tenured Professor-Researcher at the Faculty of Law and the Legal Research Institute of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where he also coordinates the Observatory of Legislation and Adjudication. He holds law degrees from UNAM (LL.B. and Ph.D., both with highest honors) and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School. His research focuses on jurisprudence, legal and political philosophy, constitutional theory, democracy, and human rights. He has held visiting positions at Harvard, Georgetown, and the Center for Transnational Legal Studies in London, among others. A former Fulbright Scholar, Professor Flores has published extensively in English and Spanish, contributing to volumes by Springer, Oxford University Press, and other leading publishers. His recent work explores themes such as judicial discretion, constitutional interpretation, and the legacy of Ronald Dworkin.
