Dimitrios Kyritsis is Reader in Law at the University of Essex, UK. Prior to this he was Associate Professor at the University of Reading and Lecturer at the University of Sheffield. He holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford. He specialises in legal philosophy and constitutional theory. He is the author of two monographs, Shared Authority: Courts and Legislatures in Legal Theory (Hart Publishing 2015) and Where Our Protection Lies: Separation of Powers and Constitutional Review (OUP 2017), as well as numerous articles and book chapters. He is also the co-editor (with Stuart Lakin) of The Methodology of Constitutional Theory (Hart Publishing 2022) and editor of Essays on Freedom and Proportionality (Hart Publishing 2025). He is co-author (with Wil Waluchow) of the entry on 'Constitutionalism' in the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy.
